David Bobb

David Bobb passed away on Friday, Sept. 30. He was a life long resident of Woodland. He was born in Woodland on Sept. 20, 1949 to Marilyn and Aaron Bobb. He attended local schools and graduated from Woodland High School in 1967. He attended American River College and graduated with an Associates Degree in Fire Science. Later he enlised in the US Air Force and served five years as a fireman in many different countries around the world including South Korea and Germany. Upon discharge from the service he worked as a fireman at the Yolo County Airport and briefly at the Port of Stockton before being hired on at the Woodland Fire Department. There he worked up the ranks to become an arson investigator. After a career with WFD he took a job at the Home Depot in Woodland where he worked in the plumbing department until his death.

Dave was an avid historian and collector. His passion was bottle collecting, amassing over 1,500 antique bottles mostly from local California businesses. He was well liked and will be missed by many. He is survived by his brother, Sam (Nancy).

A memorial service will be held at Kraft Bros. Chapel, Saturday, Oct. 15 at 10:30 a.m. Burial will be private. In lieu of flowers, please make donations to the SPCA in his memory.
