I miss him a lot but mostly because during Halloween he made an obstacle course and if they do it next year then it won't be the same. I miss him so much and I can't believe he had to pass away during covid and a lot of the kids didn't get to say goodbye! He was great to our school and he will still be in my and many others harts!

So sorry to hear of your loss. I worked with Peter @ Southgate. I would be in PE w/ him a few periods per day w/ our special needs kids. He was always enthusiastic & knew how to make each one perform at their absolute best! I will also always remember how he made the holiday time special for our kids as well. He will definitely be missed. My thoughts & prayers are with you all.

To Pete´s family: i am so very sorry to hear of this news and for the loss of this beloved teacher and coach. I worked for a few years as an aide at SG and he always had a joke or kind word for people he saw in the hallway. He made phys Ed fun for the students and helped those of us dealing with the special needs students giving us ideas on how to get them involved in class. My thoughts and prayers are with you at this time

Pete was part of a group of North Colonie teachers, like myself, that played basketball at my home school of Latham Ridge each Monday afternoon for several years. His energetic personality and good sense of humor made him a fantastic member of our group. It was easy to see that he possessed many qualities that enabled him to be a great educator and person. My deepest condolences go out to his family, friends, colleagues, and of course, to all of the students whose lives Pete touched over the years.

We met Peter 27 years ago when he was a swim instructor at Shaker High School. My daughter was 4 years old, and she instantly bonded with Peter. While the swim lessons only lasted a few weeks, Peter remained a happy family memory to this day. Prayers of comfort for the family.
