Alberta L. Thomas The funeral service for Alberta L. Thomas (nee Baker), 89, a longtime resident of the northwest side of Chicago, will be held at 10 a.m. Wednesday, at St. Luke's Lutheran Church, 205 N. Prospect, Park Ridge, where she will lie in state from 9 a.m. until the time of services. Burial will be in Oakridge Cemetery in Hillside. Visitation will be from 4 to 9 p.m. Tuesday, May 27, at the M.J. Suerth Funeral Home, 6754 N. Northwest Highway (Rand Road), Chicago. Born Dec. 9, 1919, in Chicago, she passed away Thursday, May 21, 2009, at Rush North Shore Hospital in Skokie. Alberta worked as a medical secretary for Rush Presbyterian St. Luke's Medical Center. She was the loving wife of the late Henry R. Tomko and the late John J. Thomas; loving mother of Robert (Mary Jo), Michael (Eva) and Kevin (Jennifer) Thomas of Long Grove; dear twin sister of the late Arthur E.
