Barby Lill Kay, 62, wife to Forrest Kay, died unexpectedly Saturday December 29th in their St. Charles home. Barby was born on June 3rd, 1956, in Geneva, where she spent her childhood, before settling in St. Charles. She was energetic, enthusiastic, and loved to make people smile. She genuinely cared about everyone, especially her many customers throughout her working career. She is survived by her husband, Forrest; her four children, Jeannette (Corey) Felkins, Jason (Erin) Parker, Julie (Dylan) Jeffries, Jerry Parker; seven grandchildren, Cody Felkins, Emilie Felkins, Lynze Jeffries, Callie Parker, Daniel Parker, Logan Jeffries, Lanna Jeffries; the father of her children, Jesse Parker; her mother, Patricia Thompson; mother-in-law, Marilou Kay; three brothers, one sister, many nieces and nephews and good friends. Barby was preceded in death by her father, Oscar Thompson; father-in-law, Robert Kay; and sister, Holly Fisher. A Memorial Service in memory of Barby will be held on Saturday, January 19th at Hosanna! Lutheran Church, 36W925 Red Gate Rd., St. Charles. The memorial service will start at 11 a.m., with Pastor John Nelson officiating, with a luncheon to follow.
