HAMPSHIRE - Charles L. Nack, 67, passed away July 23, 2016. Charlie was born July 23, 1949 to his loving parents, Leon and Ruth Nack. During the Vietnam War, he served as an instructor with the U.S. Air Force in Japan and stateside. Following military service, he worked as a Millwright for Local Union 1693, retiring after 40+ years of service. He was known for his intense work ethic, commitment to quality and as a leader of his crews. Charlie married the love of his life, Elizabeth in 1976, and they shared 40 wonderful years together. He will be remembered for his wonderful sense of humor, sharp wit and an undeniable loyalty to his family and friends. In his spare time, Charlie was an avid fisherman, beekeeper and woodworker. He enjoyed traveling to all four corners of the U.S. He had an adventurous spirit and sought out unique experiences like staying in an ice house, dog sledding, riding in hot air balloons and glider planes. Charlie is survived by his wife, Elizabeth; son Mark (Laura) Nack; sister Kathie Hertel; brother-in-law Fred (Sue) Solleder, grandchildren Tyler and Charli Nack; and nieces and nephews Lisa (Brian) Gilbertson, Brian (Melissa) Hertel, Fred Solleder Jr., Bill (Shea) Solleder, and Jennifer (Zack) Dryden.
