Clifford W. Edwards Sr.

Clifford W. Edwards Sr. formerly of Elgin Funeral services for Clifford W. Edwards Sr., 85, will be held at 10:30 a.m. Friday, at Madison Funeral Home, 305 Park St., Elgin. The Rev. Herman Christiansen will officiate. Born Feb. 26, 1918, in Chicago, the son of Richard and Edna Fandre Edwards, he passed away Friday, Aug. 22, 2003, in Arizona. Burial will be in the Plato Center Cemetery. Mr. Edwards Sr. was a retired truck driver. He is survived by his wife of 65 years, Edith; sons, Clifford Jr. (Donna) of Phoenix, Ronald (Shirley) of Elgin and James (Barbara Drews) of Peoria, Ariz; grandchildren, Darrel (Shiela) Edwards, Cheryl Frazer, Debra Edwards, Scott (Andrea) Edwards, Keri (Steve) Jones, Christine Prochnau (assumed) ; brother of Gaynor of Wauconda; and five great-grandchildren. In addition to his parents, Clifford was preceded in death by his son, Fred Edwards; sister, Valera Dunser; and brother, Russell Edwards.
