I went to Northern Illinois University with Donna and stood up in her wedding. Unfortunately, we lost touch with each other after she got married. I have fond memories of her and send my condolences to her family.

Best teacher ever! I attended Willard Elementary in South Elgin. I had Miss Forke and Mrs Brown, two years in a row. Her class was invited to her wedding and I went, we even had a Wedding Shower for her at school. All the kids loved her. Through the years I would run into Donna (she insisted I not call her Mrs Brown when I became an adult) and she was always warm and loving and still caring about me as her former student. I am sorry I won´t be at her memorial to share these stories in person. My condolences to her family. Donna will always hold a special place in my heart.
