Dear Mr Gilligan,
I will always remember you and Eileen on the phone talking when I came home from classes. You always had a joke to share with her and of course she passed it on to me. Thank you for being a part of my life when I was "growing up" away from home for college. I will always remember you as the man with the smile for everyone!! To Mr Gilligan's family.......you are in my thoughts and prayers .........

I don't ever remember a time when I didn't see that beautiful smile on his face. Ed and Eleanor both were always so gracious and kind to Frank and I. Ed made a huge contribution to this crazy world we live in - in terms of his service to our country, his life's work at "the telephone company", and the wonderful family that he left behind. We will all miss him....
