I was one of Joel's Cardiac Rehab nurses at Good Shepherd Hospital. I looked forward to the one o'clock session when he came to exercise. He was always happy and made us smile! He was wonderful with the other rehab clients. My deepest sympathy to his family and friends.

I am one of Joel's neighbors. It has been so hard to drive by his house and know that he was not doing well. I will miss him so much. I will miss our talks on the boat and on the deck. He was a great man and I am so glad that I was blessed to know him. My thoughts and prayers are with the whole family.

I was sorry to learn of Joel's passing. I will miss his "grumpyness" at work as well as his expertise and advice he brought to the job. I worked with Joel for 4 years and shared some good times there. My condolences to his family.

We were so sorry to hear about Joel. We were looking forward to spending time with him at our 40th High School Reunion and are so glad we had the chance to visit with him at the Lions Dinner. He is one of the few Wauconda classmates who stayed around town, and it was always nice to run into him. We'll miss seeing him.
