ST. CHARLES - Peter J. Hatzis, 65, died Sunday, November 21, 2021 at his home surrounded by his loving family. He was born June 2, 1956, in Chicago, IL, the son of the late James and Christine Hatzis. In 1976, he and his brother started Woodwork's Manufacturing and later opened Wooden Nail in several locations. He later was employed by Sims Lifecycle Services which is located in West Chicago. For years he was a band member of Truckin, which played in the Tri Cities Area. He is survived by his wife of 43 years, Sheryl. Three daughters, Erin (John) O'Connell, Lindsay (Dimitrios Parhas) Hatzis, and Nicole (Miguel) Pantoja. Two grandchildren, Carly and Hailey O'Connell. Two brothers, Chris Hatzis and Dean (Marianne) Hatzis. Visitation will be Saturday from 9:30 A.M. to 11:30 A.M. at Yurs Funeral Home, 405 E. Main Street, St. Charles.
