ROBERT A. PETERSON

1929 - 2018

ELK GROVE VILLAGE - Robert A. Peterson, 88, passed away on January 24th at Alexian Brothers Hospital in Elk Grove Village. He was born on August 11, 1929 and was the beloved husband of the late Helen A. Peterson (nee Schoenjohn) for over 60 years. He was the loving father of Beverly Anderson, Diane Allan, and Jeffrey Peterson and was the cherished grandfather of Shannon Honour, Eric Sewall, and Gunnar Anderson. He also had many great-grandchildren. He was the dear son of the late Axel Peterson and Anna Peterson (nee Gustafson), and brother of Ed (Grace) Peterson. Robert attended Schurz High School in Chicago where he graduated in 1947. He worked as an accountant and purchasing agent until 1991 and was an Army Veteran during the Korean War, where he was a Staff Sergeant. Robert was a very hard-working, thoughtful and generous person who was loved and respected by his family, friends, peers, and acquaintances. Visitation will be on Friday, February 16, 2018 from 3-9pm at Grove Memorial Chapel, 1199 S. Arlington Heights Road, Elk Grove Village.
