William Barratt Obituary

William John Barratt of Arlington Heights Services for William John Barratt, 82, will be held at 11 a.m. Monday, at Meadows Funeral Home, 3615 Kirchoff Road, Rolling Meadows. Interment will be in Mount Hope Cemetery, Palatine. Visitation will be from 3 p.m. to 8 p.m. today, at the funeral home. Born Aug. 10, 1922, in Chicago, he died Friday, Feb. 25, 2005, at Northwest Community Hospital, Arlington Heights. he was a veteran of World War II, serving in the Navy. He had worked for Illinois Bell as a District Manager for over 35 years. He was the husband of Eleanore (nee Schench); father of William H., Donald C. and John P.; son of Emma Van Clay and the late William Henry Barratt; brother of George (Ginny) and Robert Barratt, and Dorothy (Robert) Barnes; grandfather of 13; and great-grandfather of 15. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the St. John United Church of Christ, 1445 West Algonquin Road, Palatine, IL. For information, (847)253-0224.
