John Johnston Obituary

A private family service for John Thomas Johnston, 83, will be at a later date.
Mr. Johnston died Tuesday, October 30, 2018 at his residence. He was preceded in death by his parents, Lillian & Milton Johnston, brothers, Bleacher Nick (Shirley) Johnston and Edward "Welch" (Faye) Johnston, beloved children, Deena J. Panter of Dallas, GA., Johnny Jay Johnston of Dallas, GA; and baby boy. He loved his wife, family, gardening and being outside. Mr. Johnston and Geraldine made many memories traveling and fishing. He was active in the military for 22 years and also worked for Alabama Termite and Pest Control in Childersburg, AL for 12 years.
He is survived by his wife of 63 years, Geraldine Johnston; granddaughter, Jamie Panter (Donnie) Pace; grandson, Patrick (April) Johnston; great-grandchildren, Elizabeth Ann Pace, Emily Rose Pace, Alyssa Kate Pace, PJ Johnston, Taylor Lynn Johnston; son-in-law, Tommy Panter; daughter-in-law, Sharon Johnston; sister, Kathryn (Ernest) Neely of Dallas, GA.; and brother, Jerry (Jeanice) Johnston.
