Dr. Edward H. "Doc" Gibson

Dr. Edward H. 'Doc' Gibson of Dagsboro, Delaware Dr. Edward H. Gibson, 76, of Dagsboro, died Sunday, April 10, 2011 at Nanticoke Memorial Hospital in Seaford, Del. Ed Gibson was born July 22, 1934 in Philadelphia, to the late Herbert Gibson and Blanche Gibson and step son to the late Malvern Thomas. Dr. Gibson was a member of Jaque Cousteau Society and worked at West Chester University in Pennsylvania. He was an avid motorcycle rider and shark fisherman. He enjoyed volunteering his time at Fenwick Lighthouse. He is survived by his wife, Margaret Elizabeth "Peggy" Gibson of Dagsboro, Del.; daughter, JoAnn G. Hurd (Rafe) of Seaford, Del.; son, Glenn Allen "Hoot" Gibson (Tracy) of Delmar; grandchildren, Megan, Troy and T.J.; brothers, Richard Gibson and Donald Gibson. A memorial service will be held at 7:30 p.m. on Friday, April 15, at Holloway Funeral Home in Salisbury where friends may call from 6 to 7:30 p.m. Memorial contributions may be made in Dr. Gibson's memory to the Fenwick Lighthouse Restoration, c/o "New" Friends of the Fenwick Island Lighthouse, P.O.
