Glenn E. Berrier

1934 - 2014

Glenn E. Berrier, Shade Gap native Glenn Edgar Berrier, 80, a resident of Woodland Retirement Community, Obisonia, formerly of Shade Gap, passed away June 25, 2014. Born on Jan. 30, 1934, in Shade Gap, he was the son of the late Edgar and Alda (Colledge) Berrier. He was united in marriage to Mary Alice (Moulton) Berrier, who survives in Landenberg, Pa. Glenn is also survived by two sons and a daughter, Samuel Berrier and companion Cheryl Bates, of Oxford, Debbie Gilbert and husband Rodger of Rising Sun, Md. and Christopher Berrier and wife Melissa, of Landenberg; seven grandchildren; and three great- grandchildren. He is also survived by a sister, LaRue Locke of Mechanicsburg. He was preceded in death by four brothers and four sisters. A truck driver and heavy equipment operator, he retired from General Crushed Stone, Glen Mills, Pa. Glenn was formerly a social member of American Legion Posts 518 Orbisonia, 232 Dry run, 491 Kennett Square, and VFW Post 5467 Kennett Square. Funeral services will be held at 3 p.m. Thursday, July 3rd, at the Martin R. Brown Funeral Home, 565 Ridgley St., Orbisonia, with Kenneth Scott officiating. Interment will be made Salem Cemetery Blairs Mills. Friends may call one hour prior to the service Thursday at the funeral home.
