I was saddened to hear that Bill Lee had passed. He always had a great smile and went out of his way to ask how things were going. I remember for the 8 years that I was President of Chester County Lodge #11 of the Fraternal Order of Police, I had many occasions to sit and talk with Bill. Bill would always ask how my family was and you knew it was so sincere. Yes, Bill was always at our FOP picnics and very much enjoyed himself immensely! I know that he will be missed by many, but I can't help but think that Bill is busy "networking" in his new home...

Just found out about Bill's passing today after reading the wonderful tribute to him in the Daily Local. My wife grew up in the church with Bill and was very fond of him. I didn't know him very well, just spoke with him at church occasionally and ran into him a few times in town. He always had a friendly greeting and a warm smile every time he saw you and never forgot a face. It's amazing how someone could make you feel so good with just a smile or a handshake, but that was Bill. We'll all really miss you, Bill...The Tate/Rozea Family

Bill Lee will always be remembered for his shining personality, caring ways and hard work! As one of the teachers in WCASD's gifted program at the Spellman Center, it was such a pleasure to see Bill at the end of a busy day. He was always there with a smile on his face, ready to help and inquire about how things were going. He loved to hear about our classroom activities and family life, as well. Within the professional or community setting, Bill always brightened my day with a big wave, great smile, and fun conversations! My thoughts are with you as you begin to build all the wonderful memories and times you shared with him. He was a friend to many and I was blessed to be one of them. Sharon McIntyre

Bill and I shared MANY wonderful conversations about music, especially jazz, and just about life in general in the Spellman Building where I taught creative and performing arts in the LEEP/PROBE program.. He was a wonderful person who sincerely cared about others. I would frequently see in in downtown West Chester after his retirement and we always enjoyed our 'talks'! With deepest sympathy, Cal Brackin

My deepest sympathy to the family on the death of your wonderful father and brother. My name is Diana Dilts and I was a teacher in the LEEP gifted program on the second floor of the Spellman Building (now WCASD Education Center) on Paoli Pike from 1980 until 2007. I loved your dad!! He was the night custodian for many years and I was a young teacher and always working late in my classroom. Bill would stop in my classroom every night doing his rounds and we would talk mostly about our families. He would share precious stories about his wife and children. He spoke often about his church and the congregation that helped him through the loss of his beloved wife. I could always count on Bill to help me move a desk or table and carry things back and forth from my car. Such a loving and caring man. Bill and I would see each other out in the community often and our conversations about family never stopped. He even knew my two children and enjoyed watching them grow from babies to adulthood. After he retired and I moved away from West Chester 3 years ago. I was visiting my son last year and Bill was his neighbor. What a wonderful surprise. Bill was loved by all of us and will be missed.
