Dear Mrs. Quello,

I just learned today of Dr. Quello's death. In 1940 I was on a trip to the west from Pennsylvania. When I was in Swedish Hospital in Minneapolis, Dr. Quello was the attending physician. I mentioned this to him on one of your trips to Pullman and he said he remembered it and assumed I was long dead because cancer cells grow fast in a young person (15 yrs.). I went home from Denver and was in the hospital in my hometown for 8 weeks.

With this background I always felt a special relationship with Dr. Quello and your family. I was sorry that you and he had to experience the tragic death of Bob, but glad that he lived to know you have two great grandchildren.

Thor joins in sending our sincerest sympathy to you and your family, Jan, Robert, and Kara.
