Christopher Taylor McKeel

SARASOTA, FLA. - Beloved son and father, Christopher Taylor McKeel, age 34, died June 20, 2002 as the result of an auto accident. Born in Newport News, Va., he made homes in both Virginia and Florida. He was a loving and devoted father to his sons Cameron and Corey McKeel and he was the beloved son of Judy Robins McKeel of Richmond and Frank McKeel of Newport News. He will be deeply missed by his family and friends. We will always remember how dearly he loved his children, how he loved to laugh, loved the Dallas Cowboys, loved music, loved Billiards and loved Adventure. He is survived by his sons, Cameron and Corey; his parents, Judy and Frank; his brothers, Ben T. McKeel, Frank L. Jordan III, Richard F. McKeel and Leonard Pope. He is also survived by his sisters, Katrina and Ashlie McKeel; his stepmother, Sue Bartron; and the mother of his children, Cynthia Decker; as well as his aunts, cousins, nephews and nieces. A memorial service will be conducted by his aunt Rev. Nicki R. Peet and Rev. John Moxley at Peninsula Funeral Home on Thursday, June 27, at 7 p.m. The family will receive friends afterwards until 8:30 p.m. In lieu of flowers, please send donations towards a Trust Fund for Cameron and Corey made payable to B.F.
