Just heard about Ellen from my parents. It's been years, but I'll always have lots of specialchildhood memories of her. She had quite possibly the coolest laugh ever, and it's one I've never forgotten. Bucky, Mary Ellen, and Kelly....I'm so incredibly sorry. You guys were like my second family growing up. My thoughts are with you, and I'm sending you guys lots of hugs. Love, Jenny Phillips (now Stinchfield)

I remember Ellen when she attended Surry Academy in 8th grade. She was the new girl in school but she was never an outsider.
I would like to express my sympathy to the family and will pray for you.

Dickie and I were deeply saddened to learn of Ellen's passing. As we read her obituary in the paper, it was nice to know she still had that wonderful laugh that we remembered from high school. Please accept our heartfelt condolences during this difficult time.

I was so sorry to hear about Ellen. We were always such good friends and grew up together in Smithfield. She was my best bud in High School. I have many fond memories of her and loved her laugh. May you find comfort that she will be missed by all that knew her and her memory will live on
