Roberto Ifill Obituary

NEWPORT NEWS - Roberto Ifill, 87, of Newport News, passed away Saturday, July 18, 2015. He was an instructor in the U.S. Army where he served in Vietnam and received a Bronze Star. He was preceded in death by Yolanda, Mario and Claudia Ifill and is survived by his son, Ricardo Ifill; daughter-in-law, Tonya Ifill; and two grandchildren, Ernesto Ifill and Melina Ifill. Services will be private and are being handled by Altmeyer Funeral Home, Denbigh Chapel.

My late and heartfelt condolences on behalf of His only Grandaughter Melina Ifill, and First Daughter in law Genoveva Ifill. We miss him for his kindness, the love he gave us at every visit we had. An incredible Sense of humor.
He lived of a respectable life, devoted father, husband, grandfather, and above all a Soldier in every sense of the word. He delegated the responsibilities and Honor to serve the Great United States of America to

We have lost a Dedicated and devoted Soldier, but noe he has joined The Lord Jesus Christ Team, see you in Heaven my dearest and beloved Roberto Ifill.
Thank you, for all the support, my house gifts, your counselings, your hard working visits which gave me a home away from home. You provided as if we were part of your household. Melina and I never missed anything as long as you were around. I carry you in my heart ❤ so, does Melina and we had great pleasure in being on your side during your last days.
Your niece and devoted support Marva who extended her home to me and your Great Grandson Jonah YuJin Kim., who played with you, read to you, and spent numerous days playing right outside your window at the hospice at the Veteran's Hospital, we will never forget you, never will my love you leave, You will be in our hearts for ever you Great Grands Elise Marie McKenzie Ifill and Maximus Micco Mckenzie Ifill will always love you even while you are gone.

I was really sorry to hear of Mr. Ifill passing. He was a family friend. A truly bless gentleman. He often spoke of his family and his neighbors. Never a harsh word spoken by him about anybody or anything. He was a father-figure to me and my family. To his son I never had the chance to meet you but your father often spoke of you. He will be truly missed.
