WILLIAMSBURG - Warren E. Gregg, of Williamsburg Landing in Williamsburg, VA went to his heavenly home on December 26, 2017, after a long and prosperous life of 96 years. Mr. Gregg graduated from Washington and Jefferson College where he served a term as an alumni representative on the Board of Trustees. He began his business career with the Bloch Brothers Tobacco Company where he served for 36 years as an officer and director. He was then transferred to Reading, PA with Bachman Foods and Helme Products, Inc. He was a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and several state CPA societies. In 1977, he moved to Myrtle Beach, SC where he worked as a business consultant in the accounting firm of Smith, Sapp, Bookout and Crumpler. Warren and Martha were dear friends of my parents, Jack and Margaret James. My visits to Wyomissing and Williamsburg over many years always included a visit with the Greggs. Warren had an infectious laugh and was a joy to be around. My condolences to the family and I rejoice that he was with you for so many years.

I just read of this and am saddened by it. I knew Mr. Gregg about 35 years ago. I used to have to type tax forms for him in Myrtle Beach. He insisted on excellence and I am better for it. God bless his family. He was a nice man who loved to bring us great treats that his wife would make and send to work. They were great!

I will never forget Warren. I was the associate medical director at Williamsburg Landing for several years and when I did see him, he would always make me smile and/or laugh. That is a rare characteristic and may account for all those years he had on this side. I realize there is some sadness but what joy he brought to so many. Therefore, I say rejoice.
