Stanley Lorin Obituary

Lorin Crane Stanley Lorin Grace Crane Stanley, age 31, died suddenly on Tuesday, April 22, 2014, in Troy, Virginia. She was born on December 17, 1982, in Henrico County, Virginia. She is survived by husband, Michael Stanley; and her very beloved young children, Grace, Ben, Lucas, and Dixie, all of Troy. Lorin is survived by her parents, Gary Steven Crane of Henrico, and Sallie Branin Johnson; and stepfather, Craig Johnson, of Chesterfield. Surviving siblings, Gee Crane of Seattle, Washington, Megan Miller of Chesterfield, Hailey Miller of Troy, Shawn and Cory Crane of Hanover, and Alex Johnson of Chesterfield. She is survived by paternal grandparents, Joan and Harold Crane of Henrico. Preceded in death by grandparents, Milton and Nancy Branin of Richmond; and her beloved "Nanny" Anita Stanley of Troy, "Mimi" Ruth Harbold of Ruther Glen and Grace McLaughlin of Fork Union and Richmond. A graduate of Fluvanna High School, Lorin was a gifted Drama and Art student. A true southern girl she loved life in the country, her horses, dogs, and endlessly adored her children. She operated a day care for more than 10 years to be home with her children and touched the lives of many young children and families. There will be no viewing/ visitation. A memorial service will be held 11 a.m. Saturday, May 3, 2014, at Bybee Road Baptist Church.
