Walter Deal Obituary

Walter William Deal Sr., 72, of Spicers Mill Road, Orange, Va., died July 25, 2005, at the University of Virginia Medical Center, Charlottesville, Va.

Born Aug. 16, 1932, in Culpeper County, Va., he was the son of the late Fisher Deal and Julia Irene Bailey Deal.

He is survived by three daughters, Patty Ignaszewski and her husband, Eric, of Barboursville, Va., Cynthia Carol Deal of Orange, Va., and Judy Marks and her husband, Bobby, of Charlottesville, Va., two sons, Walter William Deal Jr. and his wife, Stephanie, of Dyke, Va., and Christopher Deal Blanchette of Ruckersville, Va.; six grandchildren; two sisters, Evelyn Deal Clarke of Orange, Va., and Linda Deal Feagan and her husband, Pat, of Louisa, Va.

He was a member of Trinity United Methodist Church, Orange, Va., and a retired carpenter.

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday, July 28, 2005, at the Trinity United Methodist Church, with interment in the Graham Cemetery, Orange, Va. The Rev. Forest Porter will officiate.

The family will receive friends from 7 to 8:30 p.m. Wednesday, July 27, 2005, at the Preddy Funeral Home, Orange.

In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the Trinity Methodist Church, 143 West Main Street, Orange, VA 22960.

Patty, Eric and Matt,

Steve and I are really sorry for your loss. We are now members of the Orange County Rescue Squad and are very gratefull for all the hard work and effort your dad put into starting and maintaining the squad. Your family has our thoughts and prayers during this difficult time. God Bless you all.
