We wish to express our sadness at the passing of Albert Betz. We met him and his wife when Adele's sister married Jeff. Because we do not live close by we would only see him occasionally. However, he always greeted us like old friends. His quiet nature sometimes shadowed his humor and quiet wit. We will always be grateful to Al and Bonnie for their friendship with our parents, including them at family gatherings like holidays, birthdays and parade watching. We will miss him and remember him fondly.

Dad, I will always love you. Your love, caring and guidance all the days of my life will be with me forever. As you said so often Thank You. Thank you for being the best Dad ever. I know you are at peace now and your struggle is over. The faith you taught me is in my heart and is my core. Thank you for welcoming Sharon into our family. Thank you for all the great times we had from baseball, Cub Scouts, gardening, building, fixing every thing from cars to building our home. I learned so much over the years from you. I will always remember our family trips and vacations as the family grew. You were always there to support me and as time went on included Sharon, Cynthia, David, Russell, Natalie and Meghan. You and Mom showed unconditional love and your caring for so many people in ways people may never know is known to me. I have so many wonderful memories that will continue to guide me in the years to come. You served your country well in its time of need. You continued your service at Picatinny for many years. Your real estate profession also taught me so many aspects of our community and its growth over the years. For me you orchestrated my first job surveying and learning a trade. You supported me in my high school and college years in so many ways. We worked well together in so many projects. One of my favorite holidays is Father's Day because it honored you. All holidays were fun and our Christmas celebration was very special because of you. I am proud of you and all you have stood for as demonstrated by your life's accomplishments - most importantly your family. I am very proud to say I am your son. Dear Dad, rest in peace for as you taught me, our Lord and Savior has welcomed you home. Holding you in your last minutes on earth was an honor and I hope comforting to you. I look forward to the day we can be together once again. In Christ's name, your first born son - Jeffrey Albert
