Maryann Ruiz Obituary
AGE: 80 • Rockaway
Maryann Ruiz, of Rockaway, New Jersey passed away peacefully in her home on Sunday, July 24, 2016. She was 80 years young.
Beloved mother, grandmother and mother-in-law, Maryann was born and raised in New York, and moved into the Rockaway area in 2002. She retired from Lifeline Medical Associates in 2015 as a Medical Biller. Her foremost passion in life was her family. Anyone who knew Maryann knew her as a loving, resilient and very special individual. She had a wonderful sense of humor and loved to cook. Beyond that, she was always caring, generous and a great listener! Maryann's legacy of love, laughter, and kindness will live on in the hearts and souls of her family and friends forever.
Predeceased by her husband Jesse, her son Brian, and David Jones (who she loved like a son), she is survived by her adored children, Daniel Ruiz, Mark Ruiz and his wife Patty; her cherished grandchildren, Michelle Mahoney and her husband Michael, Katie Ruiz, and Nicole Ruiz; and her loving brother Fred Von Ronn.
Visitation will take place on Wednesday, July 27th from 4-8 pm at Norman Dean Home for Services, 16 Righter Ave., Denville, NJ 07834. A Funeral Service will be held on Thursday, July 25th at 9:30 am at the Funeral Home. Burial will follow at Pinelawn Memorial Park, Farmingdale, NY. Donations can be made in Maryann's memory to The American Humane Society by way of www.inmemo ryof-memorial.org. Please visit Legacy .com to leave a condolence for her family.

Dear Mom,
Today is 5 years since we lost you, and it still feels like a large void without you in our lives. We miss so many of the big and small things that made you such a unique and special person. Your unconditional love, generosity and amazing cooking being just a few (people still talk about your cooking to this day!). There's hardly a day that goes by that I don't think about you. We all miss you very much! Say hi to David, Dad, the Grandmas, Louie and the rest of the family - including Scruffy, Max and Bobby!
