Carole Griffin Obituary

Carole A. Griffin, 62, a former longtime Ellensburg resident, passed away on Monday, June 9, 2008 at the Life Care Center of Skagit Valley in Sedro-Woolley, Washington after her short but brave fight with cancer.
She was born on August 6, 1945 in Fallon, Nevada, the daughter of Paul & Joan (Hechler) Stanley.
Carole worked for Central Washington University in Ellensburg as a senior secretary in facilities and planning for 32 years. She was highly respected by her coworkers.
Carole's passion was her red Corvette, which she loved to take for long drives. She also enjoyed going on bike rides with her partner Jeff, and shared with him her love for Blues and Classic Rock music.
Carole was preceded in death by her son, Darren in 2006, her mother, Joan in 2007 and her step-father in 2008.
She is survived by her partner, Jeff Helm; her son and daughter-in-law, Heath & Sue Griffin; Karin & Dan Hollister. Her grandchildren, Shannon, Sarah, Jack & Ashlynn. Her sisters, Jan Florez and Jill Brandt and her brothers, Roy and Steven Brandt. Her aunt, Dorothy Jess; her best friends Betty & Bill Baker; numerous nieces and nephews and countless other friends and coworkers.
The family wishes to extend their heartfelt thanks to the Life Care of Skagit Valley and to Skagit Hospice for all their caring assistance during Carole's last days.
We love and miss you, Carole!
