SCHATZ, WILBUR “Jay”; of Ortonville; died May 4, 2014; at 79 years of age. Beloved husband of Camille E. Schatz; loving father of Curtis (Heidi) Schatz, Rodnie (John) Cook, Brian (Cheryl) Schatz and Aimee (Dean) Smith; step-father of Michael (Kathleen) Fey and Sandra Girskis; dearest grandfather of 13 and great grandfather of 4. Jay retired from General Motors as a Master Electrician after 32 years of service. He was a 1952 graduate of Pontiac Central High School and was a veteran of the U S Army. Funeral Service will be 12 Noon Thursday, May 8, 2014 at COATS VILLAGE FUNERAL HOME-ORTONVILLE. Burial will follow at Great Lakes National Cemetery, Holly.Family will receive friends at the funeral home Wednesday from 3 to 8 p.m. Memorial contributions may be made to Genesys Hospice, envelopes are available.
