OPELOUSAS - A Mass of Christian Burial will be held for Geraldine Ann Stelly at 2:00 p.m. on Monday, May 11, 2015, in the Sacred Heart of Jesus Church in Port Barre. Reverend Daniel Picard will conduct the Mass of Christian Burial. Rite of Committal will be held at Sacred Heart of Jesus Church Cemetery.

Mrs. Stelly, age 66, a resident of Opelousas, LA, died on Saturday, May 9, 2015, at her daughter's residence in Port Barre surrounded by her loving and caring family.

Geraldine was a homemaker. She loved her family dearly, especially her grandchildren. She will be greatly missed by her family, friends, and all who knew and loved her.

She is survived by her husband of 45 years, Louis Stelly of Plaisance, LA; her sons, Cody Stelly and wife, Julie Powers of Youngsville, LA, Richard Stelly and wife, Kimberly Dupre of Port Barre, LA; her daughters, Cheryl Lanclos and husband, Tommy of Port Barre, LA, Pam Castille and husband, Mark of Port Barre, LA, Rachel Marcantel and husband, Robert of St. Landry, LA, Lisa Olinger and husband Matthew of Roberts Cove, LA; her brothers, John Allen Martin and wife, Elaine of Port Barre, LA, Elgie Martin and wife, Delores of Port Barre, LA, Murphy Martin and wife, Judy of Eunice, LA, Robert Martin and wife, Fay of Opelousas, LA, Raymond Martin of Port Barre, LA; her sister, Jeannette Kidder and husband, James of Port Barre, LA. She is also survived by 11 grandchildren and 1 great-grandchild.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Alger and Sylvia Martin.

Pallbearers will be Cody Stelly, Richard Stelly, Tommy Lanclos, Mark Castille, Robert Marcantel and Matthew Olinger.

Visitation will be held at the LaFond-Ardoin Funeral Home of Opelousas on Monday, May 11, 2015, from 9:00 a.m. until the time of service at 2:00 p.m. A rosary will be prayed at 10:00 a.m.
