John was a great guy.
We met John thru Cal & Kim [daughter] Baumann.
He spent several years deer hunting with my husband Don & Cal here in
the UP of Michigan.
We enjoyed visiting with him in Texas & here.
He always had such good humor & had a wonderful smile.
My sympathy to the family, & know you all in my thoughts & prayers.

John was a great friend to my late husband Jim....regularly visiting him when he was sick with brain cancer. I had no idea John was ill. My thoughts and prayers go out to all of John's loved ones.

John, was a special friend of mine. I enjoyed getting together with him in Tx. a few times but mostly when he came to the U.P. of Michigan. We had many good times and laughs together. I will miss his smiling face and good humor. May the family and friends take comfort in knowing he is in Haven and at peace. God Bless.

We knew John thru Cal and Kim Baumann. He was such fun to be around. He was so good to Bryan and Brittany Baumann, like a Uncle. Our parents and brother, Mike, so enjoyed him in Tx. and Michigan when he visited. He will live on in each person he touched, there are many. I am smiling now just thinking of him. Know he was loved and still is. God watch over all of the family and know John is in Haven and at peace. Take strength from knowing this and God Bless each of you. Willie and Bonnie(Baumann) Purvis
