Archie Lewis

LEWIS, Archie Lynn Age 83 of Dayton passed away Friday, March 3, 2017 at his home. He was a graduate of Wilbur Wright H.S., class of 1951 and attended Ohio University. During his lifetime he remained active in the community and political field. Archie loved his family, grandchildren and great-grandchildren dearly. He and his wife Joan taught their children to be honest, kind and giving to all. His favorite saying was to call everyone "The Boss." Preceded in death by his loving parents William & Anna Lewis, son, Marlon Justin Lewis and three sisters, Willa, Betty & Gayle. He is survived by his loving wife of 63 years Joan; children Renee L. Lewis, Jeffrey Keith Lewis, Pastor Veontae R. Mann and Nicholas Roman Lewis, Esq.; loving sons-in-law Bishop Larry Mann and Norman Smith; sisters Alta Sessions and Ruthie Clemmons; brother Derrick Lewis; beloved grandchildren Ashley, Khaliah, Kyndall, Tia, Keeno and Cleveland; great grandchildren Cameron, Willie Sky, and Jeremiah; sisters-in-law Louise Harris, Ethel Varner and Beverly Harris; Ms. Maxine "Granny" Rutledge; and friend Rufus Barrett. Visitation 11 A.M.-1 P.M., Friday, March 10, 2017 at Trinity Presbyterian Church, 3211 Lakeview Ave. The family will receive friends 12 P.M. until time of services, 1:00 P.M. Pastor Ronald P.
