News Death Notice
PAYNE, Dione A. age 16, of Dayton, departed this life unexpectedly on Sunday, December 1, 2013. Survivors include his mother, Tamiko Payne; father, Devin Crowder; sisters, Ta'Nesha, Melanie and Jo'Shayla; brothers, Johnnie, Da'Ron and Devin Crowder Jr.; maternal grandmother, Annie Lewis; grandfather, Gaynor Payne; uncles, John Lake and Andrew; aunts, Yulonda and Sharonda; a host of nephews, other relatives and friends. Funeral service 11:00 A.M., SATURDAY, December 7, 2013 (TODAY) at McKINLEY UNITED METHODIST CHURCH, 196 Hawthorne St.,, with Reverend M. Merritt Worthen, officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior to service. Interment: Greencastle Cemetery. Arrangements entrusted to Thomas Funeral Home, 4520 Salem Ave. On-line condolences may also be sent to the family at www.thomasfunerals.com

Tamiko, Annie and family, I was so shocked to learn of the loss of your son and grandson. I remember him through a few of my grandkids but had no idea that he was any relations to someone that I have known for years. My heart really goes out to you and your family. May God give you all some comfort and peace right now in your time of need and May you find strength in the Lord. Know that He is right there by your side and when you feel like you just can't go on, just call on that Wonderful name of Jesus and you'll find that he is right there. My condolences to you all.
