News Death Notice

MAHAFFEY, Jr., Howard Franklin 72, of Riverside, passed away on Monday, January 13, 2014. He was born on March 17, 1941 in Dayton, OH. Howard was a hardworking, self-employed, scrap hauling man. He loved flea markets, racing cars and playing cards. His family was his life. He is preceded in death by his father, Howard Mahaffey, Sr. and his mother, Annabelle Halsey; daughter, Linda Wells and Uncle, Bob Keininger. Howard is survived by his loving Wife, Patricia; Sons, Bobby (Bonnie) Mahaffey, Ronnie (Carol) Mahaffey, David (Leigh Huey) Mahaffey, step children, Mark, Sheryl and Darel Coterel, Tina, Brandy, Matthew, Robbie, Mikey and his adopted daughter, Benita whom he loved and treasured very much. He is also survived by his 26 grandchildren, 14 great grandchildren and friends. He was a loving husband, father, grandpa, son and friend. He will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him. Visitation will be held from 5-8 PM Friday, January 17, 2014 at Newcomer Funeral Home, 4104 Needmore Rd, Dayton, Ohio 45424 where funeral services will be held at 11 AM Saturday.
