Paul Copley Obituary

Paul D. Copley, 45, of Kent, died Sunday, April 12, 2009 at Robinson Memorial Hospital following a year-long battle with cancer. Born Nov. 8, 1963 in Logan, West Virginia, he was the son of Carl and Patsie Jo Copley. He had lived in the Kent area for eleven years. Mr. Copley worked as a heating and air conditioning technician, and most recently, was the owner-operator of PAL Trucking. He enjoyed being with his family and had a wide circle of friends. He was always willing to help others who needed assistance and enjoyed making new friends. Paul enjoyed traveling with his wife, and always had another home improvement project planned. He was a member of the Sons of American Legion. Survivors include his wife, Linda M. (DiPaolo), whom he married May 5, 2000; son, Stephen of Reading, OH; stepchildren, Melinda (William) Curry of Ravenna, Rebecca Knapp of Cuyahoga Falls and W. Charles Knapp of Brimfield; two grandchildren, Madison and Breanna Curry of Ravenna, mothers-in-law, Pauline Soule and Linda J. DiPaolo; brother-in-law, Roger J. Di Paolo; several aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews, as well as one brother and one sister. He was preceded in death by his father in 2005, mother in 2008, and brother, Gregory, in 2006.

Calling hours will be held 6-9 PM Thursday, April 16th at Bissler & Sons Funeral Home in Kent where funeral services will be held 1:00 PM Friday, April 17th with Rev. Wayne Enders officiating. Burial will be in Standing Rock Cemetery in Kent. Bissler & Sons Funeral Home and Crematory are handling the arrangements.
