Ronald GILLILAND Obituary
News Death Notice
GILLILAND, Ronald L. 72, of Tipp City, passed away Friday, May 10, 2013 at his residence. He is preceded in death by his wife Donna Gilliland, father Roy, mother Helen and son, Roy II. He is survived by daughters Shelley Smith and her husband Wade of Charlotte, NC, Beth Christian of Gulfport, FL, and son Ron Gilliland and wife Jen, of Tipp City, OH. Ron had five grandchildren, Stephanie and Leah Smith, Eric and Matthew Christian, and Taylor Rose Gilliland. Ron retired from Rieck Mechanical as a journeyman heating and air specialist, and was a member of his local union. Ron was a very quick witted natural born story teller and always had a joke to share. Ron spent many years as a youth football, boxing, and soccer coach. He had a deep love for bass fishing and cooking and was very good at both. Ron's final wishes were that he be cremated and have his ashes released at his favorite fishing hole. He asked that no services be held.
