Scott Hannah Obituary

HANNAH, Scott "Shooter" Using his favorite phrase for saying 'goodbye', Scott "Shooter" Hannah, 46 of Centerville, OH, formerly of Chillicothe, OH is "on the move". This free spirit, trapped in his body for a year and a half following a devastating stroke in May, 2016, after a stubborn and valiant fight, has finally been liberated. Born on July, 13, 1971 in Chillicothe, Scott moved with his mother, Ann and his brother David to Centerville in 1982. Along with his brother, he had a great love for the game of golf and after graduating from Centerville High School, class of 1989, he went on to become a golf pro, winning tournaments before getting his Teaching Pro Card. He was an Assistant Pro at NCR Country Club as well as Moss Creek. His love of golf took him to the golf courses of Florida, which he enjoyed tremendously. His independent nature led him on many spur-of-the-moment adventures. He was the type of person who went where he wanted, to do whatever he wanted to do. He was the lone "Winston Wolf", managing the affairs of family and friends (whether they wanted his help or not!) and then slipping away in his very fast car! He touched and positively affected more lives than can be counted here and his absence will be deeply felt by everyone who knew this beautiful soul. He was preceded in death by his mother, Anora Hannah, to whom he was deeply devoted, his father Dave Hannah, and his grandparents, notably his paternal grandmother Thelma, who called him her "Little Lamb". Those left to mourn his passing are his brother, David "Mooch" Hannah; David's companion, Colleen Coogan and her family, his father's widow, Amy Hannah, his half-sister, Elizabeth, his mother's longtime companion, Ted Pairin, his Uncle Dan Welch and Aunt Rose Anne Welch, his cousins Timothy Welch (Christine) and their children, Stephanie Welch, and Amy Toth (Arpad) and her son Joshua and many, many friends. Family will receive friends on Wednesday, October 18th from 4:00 to 6:30 p.m. at Tobias Funeral Home, 5471 Far Hills Ave. A memorial service will be held immediately after the visitation beginning at 6:30 p.m. In lieu of flowers, please consider making a donation in Scott's name to Hospice of Dayton or the American Arthritis Foundation. I am out of town and will miss today's service but wanted to say what a good friend Scott was to me and I will miss him very much. We became friends at Moss Creek Golf course when I started working there 9 years ago. Just a great, easy going guy who was fun to be around. We have lost him way too soon. RIP brother.

Scott was chivalrous, succor (help) women in need, polite, trustworthy-he was like one of King Author's knights, which is why my Knight, Sir Galahad, stayed with Scott til his death. May Scott play lots of golf in Heaven!
