Family-Placed Obituary


St. AUSTIN, Vera Age 92 of Springfield, passed away Friday, July 20, 2007, at Mercy Medical Center in Springfield. She was preceded in death by her first husband, Robert H. Rothert and second husband of over 22 years, Earl St. Austin; son Richard Rothert. She is survived by two sons, Robert Rothert (Fran) of Alexandria, IN, and Robert St. Austin (Judy) of La Costa, California; brother, Marvin Stock (Kathleen) of Cincinnati; grandchildren, Theresa Brown (Benjamin), Kristin Rothert, Jeffrey Rothert (Cindy), Amy Rothert, and Jennifer Sowards (Chad); 7 great grandchildren; daughter-in-law, Bonnie Furay of Springfield; many nieces, nephews and cousins. A mass of Christian Burial will be held 10:30 AM Wednesday, July 25, at St. Rita's Catholic Church, Fr. Bill O'Donnell will officiate. Interment following at Royal Oak Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends from 6-8 PM Tuesday evening at Baker-Hazel & Snider Funeral Home, 5555 Philadelphia Dr. at N. Main St. In lieu of flowers, the family would prefer contributions be made to St. Rita's Catholic Church or Hospice of Springfield.
