Age 79 of Millsboro, DE passed away on April 13, 2007.
Charles was a member of the Grace United Methodist Church in Millsboro for 53 years. He was also a member of the Millsboro Vol. Fire Company for over 50 years. He was a US Army Veteran and a past member of the Lions Club. During his families child hood he actively supported the school band boosters, Boys Scouts. He was a master Carpenter 50 yr. member oft the local 626, who worked on many local residences, schools, hospitals, businesses, and churches in the area. He was an avid reader and enjoyed writing verses for family and friends. He adored his darling dog friend "Snickers".
He was preceded in death by his parents, Lee and Della Quillen Vickers; his wife Bertha Mae Vickers who passed in 1994; his brother Vaughn Vickers. He is survived by his sons Ray A. Bunting of Daytona, FL, Gerald Lee Bunting and his wife, Christy of Va Beach, VA,. Charles Ronald Vickers, and wife, Nancy of Dover DE. He is also survived by Susan Bunting of Selbyville, DE; 5 grandchildren, Lori Hudson and husband, Keith, Tara Arnold and husband, George, Michael W. Bunting, Jessica L. Bunting Will S. Vickers. 4 great grandchildren, Bryn Hudson, Quinn Hudson, Lauren Arnold, Ashlynn Arnold.
Services will be Friday, April 20, 2007 at Grace United Methodist Church, Millsboro, DE at 12:00 Noon where friends may call 1 hour prior. Rev. Leroy Jones, and Rev Rob Townsend will officiate. Interment will be in Millsboro Cemetery, Millsboro, DE.
