Age 77, of Wilming
ton, DE, died at home on Friday, January 5, 2007, after a short but courageous battle with cancer.
Born in Lillybrook, WV, Mrs. Spencer Edwards was a very active member of the First Baptist Church of New Castle where she taught Sunday School for 29 years.
She is survived by her loving husband, James; and 4 children, Rebecca Miller, of San Angelo, TX, Barbara Brewer, of Lawton, OK, Tom Spencer, of Santa Rosa, CA, and Lee Spencer, of Newport, DE. She is also survived by 7 grandchildren; 10 great grandchildren; and 1 great great grandson.
A service will be held on Tuesday, January 9, at 12:30 pm, at First Baptist Church, 901 East Basin Road, where visitation will begin at 11:30 am. The burial will be private.
The family suggest donations can be made in her honor to the American Diabetes Association Delaware/ Eastern Shore office, Suite 1002, 100 West 10th Street, Wilmington, DE.
