Anthony L. Palmer

Anthony L. Palmer Anthony L. Palmer, of Concord Twp., born on July 28, 1954, went to rest surrounded by his family and friends on July 3, 2011. Raised in Marcus Hook, he was a member of Immaculate Conception of Lourdes Church. He graduated from Chichester High School in 1973. Anthony lived in Concord Twp. for the past 30 years. He was employed by Alan Mcllvain Lumber Company for 25 years as a Truck Driver and was a member of the Teamsters Union Local 107. He also worked for the A.I. Dupont Company for several years. Anthony was a loving husband, father, son, grandfather and friend who took great pride in his home and loved spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren. He had a great love for classic cars and built a 1927 Ford Roadster that won many awards at car shows. He also enjoyed woodworking, cooking, fishing, boating, and drag racing. He was the son of the late Leonard Palmer. Survivors: His beloved wife of 38 years Joan Piasecki Palmer; his daughter Tara and son-in-law Michael Pontillo; six wonderful grandchildren Michael, Maria, Julia, Christina, Joseph and Cecilia; his mother Elizabeth "Betty" Flowers Palmer; 2 brothers Leonard and Marc Palmer of Linwood; 2 sisters Kim Resnick of Linwood and Lisa Delahaut of Twin Oaks; also survived by many in-laws, cousins, nieces, nephews, and friends. Funeral Mass: Saturday at 11 AM at St. Jude Roman Catholic Church, 1402 East 10th St., Eddystone. Burial: Immaculate Heart of Mary Cemetery, Linwood. Visitation: Friday 7 to 9 PM and Saturday 9:15 to 10:15 AM at Nolan-Fidale Funeral Home, 5980 Chichester Ave, Aston.
