Joan M. Pickering, 75 Of Upper Darby, PA Joan M. Pickering, 75, died on Saturday, January 1, 2011, at Heritage Towers Health Care, Doylestown, PA. She was the wife of the late Philip Pickering. Born in Philadelphia, PA, she was the daughter of the late Boniface Miller Jr. and Gertrude Hesmar Miller. Survivors: Her children Margaret and John Pickering both of Upper Darby; brothers Paul Miller of West Chester and Boniface Miller Jr. of Folsom, PA; sisters Mary E. Biagioli of New Britain, PA, and Barbara Dooley and her husband William of Elverson, PA. Service/Visitation: Relatives and friends are invited to attend her Memorial Mass 10 AM Friday, January 14, 2011, at St. Laurence R.C. Church, 8245 West Chester Pike, Upper Darby, PA 19082, where family will receive family and friends following the Mass. Burial: Private.

I NEVER MET MRS PICKERING, BUT I WORK WITH HER SON JOHN WHO IS SO SWEET AND KIND.I KNOW THE APPLE DIDNT FALL FAR FROM THE TREE.IM SURE SHE WILL BE MISSEDBY ALL THAT KNEW HER.JOHN IM KEEPING YOU AND YOUR FAMILY IN MY PRAYER.GOD BLESS YOU.

Joan was always so very nice to everyone at the Lansdowne YMCA. I personnaly enjoyed Joan everyday at Child Watch, she always said hello before she would go in the pool there. I will miss you Joan, God Bless.
