As a nephew to Uncle George, I can truly say he was a great man and will not only be missed by our family, but by the community itself....Powellville was built around people like my father, Billy Lewis, who passed earlier this year and Uncle George. I have many great memories of christmas eve gatherings at his house, hebron carnivals that him and aunt wilsie took the family to, and pony penning.....where he was a celebrity.....in many ways he was larger than life because he touched so many people and so many people, as the messages show, show he was their "family" as well, but to those that were his family.....there will never ever be another like him....Im sure hes already up there riding with all his friends that he joined in the afterlife, waiting for us all to once again put a smile on our faces....rest in peace uncle

My deepest condonlences to all of "george's" family. I will never forget this kind, gentle, man. We shared many a "smooth drink" under the old pine tree at the corrall here on chincoteague after the "hoss penning was done". He was a fixture at our event and will be sadly missed. God bless you george. "DUC-MAN"
