Jack Layton Obituary
Salisbury-Jack R. Layton, 70, of Salisbury died Tuesday, November 5, 2013 at Anchorage Nursing and Rehabilitation Center after his battle with COPD. Born in Salisbury he was the son of the late William R. Layton and Grace Marie Davis.
Jack retired from Dresser Wayne where he worked as a meter tester for 34 years. He was a past member of the Fraternal Order of Eagles.
He is survived by a daughter, Sandra Wolf and her husband Joseph of Laurel, DE; daughter-in-law, Wanda Layton of Pittsville; four grandchildren, Joel Layton and his wife Amy, Kevin Layton, Brian Hill and his wife Nikki, and Crystal Hill; seven great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by a son, Levin Layton in 2012.
A funeral service will be held Saturday at 12PM at Bounds Funeral Home on East Main Street in Salisbury where friends may call one hour prior to the service. Thom Campbell will officiate. Interment will follow in Wicomico Memorial Park.
Contributions may be made in memory of Jack to Bethel United Church, 31562 Morris Leonard Road, Parsonsburg, MD 21849.

I worked with Jack for 34 yrs. we also duck hunted and deer hunted together many times.He was a good friend and will be missed by many.God bless his family.

Sending my prayers to all the Layton family. My husband Richard and he worked together at Dressers for lots of years. A friendly gentleman and always a smile when I used to see him at Pittsville Dinette after Richard passed. I know you are reminiscing with all the other fellow Dresser Employees that have gone before you. I bet it feels good to be able to breathe with ease. God Bless Jack RIP my friend.

I'm sorry to hear of jacks passing. I worked with jack for 20 yrs at Dresser. My prayers go out to his family.
