Gerardo Escobar

Gerardo "Jerry" Escobar, 42, a resident of Phoenix, entered eternal rest on Friday, Jan. 22, 2016, at John C. Lincoln Hospital in Deer Valley, Arizona. Jerry was born on July 10, 1973, in Deming, New Mexico, to Miguel Escobar and Maria Meza. He is survived by three sons, Isaiah Escobar and Noah Escobar of of St. Charles, Missouri, and Carmelo Cruz Escobar of Phoenix; four brothers, Pete Escobar of Deming, Miguel Escobar and his wife, Sally, of Lewiston, Maine, Gabriel Escobar and his wife, Charlotte, of Tucson, Arizona, and Francisco Escobar and his wife, Deborah, of Phoenix; six sisters, Carmela Pacheco and her husband, Alfredo, of Lordsburg, New Mexico, Lourdes Marquez and her husband, Leo, of Deming, Alma Adkins and her husband, Dale, of Missouri, Clara Escobar and her husband, Steven Todd, of Lordsburg, Maria Escobar of Lordsburg, and Guadalupe Escobar Daniel and her husband, Benjamin, of Tucson. He is preceded in death by one brother, Ismael Escobar. Visitation will be on Thursday, Jan. 28, 2016, from 4-6 p.m., with the holy rosary beginning at 6 p.m. at Terrazas Funeral Chapels. Funeral Mass will be on Friday, Jan. 29, 2016, at 1 p.m. at St. Joseph's Catholic Church in Lordsburg, with the Rev. Ron Machado officiating. Concluding services with an interment will take place at Shakespeare cemetery. Serving as pallbearers are Isaiah Escobar, Noah Escobar, Nathaniel Barness, Pablo Ortiz, Charles Bagley and Alex Ortiz.
