Gary Carr Obituary
Byron: Gary W. Carr, 55 of Coward Rd., Byron, NY, died Monday, August 11, 2008 at Strong Memorial Hospital. Mr. Carr was born in Rochester, NY on November 10, 1952, a son of the late William G. Carr Sr. and Betty Jane Walls Carr of Gates, NY. Mr. Carr was a member of the Byron Fire Dept. and a member and Former Board member of Godfrey's Pond.
Mr. Carr is survived by his mother and his wife, Joan Darby Carr, they were married for 32 years. Also surviving are sons, Paul and Patrick Carr; and 2 daughters, Colleen and Darby Carr all of Byron; 2 brothers, William G. (Jan) Carr Jr. of Caledonia and Daniel C. (Nancy) Carr of Groveland, NY; 1 sister, Mrs. Bonnie (Gerry) Baker of Caledonia; and several nieces and nephews.
There will be no calling hours. Friends are invited to attend a Memorial Service on Friday afternoon at 5:00 PM at Lovria's Memorial Chapel, 36 W. Main St., LeRoy. In lieu of flowers, memorials can be made to the American Heart Assoc., 2113 Chili Ave., Roch., NY 14624.

To my dearest brother,
Today is the first day I have looked at this guest book and I still can't believe that you are gone. I still think that you will be calling me soon to say "hey, what are you doing, mind if I stop by?" I keep waiting but it never happens. We had become so close over the past couple of years and I will treasure that always. You have been thought of as a real "ball buster" over the years and you made me laugh all the time, but I knew the sensitive side too. You cared about everyone you came in contact with. I was blessed to be right by your side until the end and I will love and miss you everyday for the rest of my life. You are the first one to see dad - :-) Please tell him I said hello. Until we see each other again.

I will miss you so much. You could always make me laugh. I will miss playing Eucher with you. I'm so glad your at peace and not suffering any more. I hope Grandpa is taking good care of you up there. I love you so much! RIP
