Helen Marie
Lakeland, Florida: Helen passed away on October 19, 2016, at age 67, after battling various illnesses over the past few years. Predeceased by her parents, Jack and Louise Cunningham, and two brothers, Paul Cunningham and Craig Cunningham. She is survived by brothers, Hugh (Donna) Cunningham, Rochester, NY, Jeff (Lynne) Cunningham, Ontario, Canada, Justin Cunningham, Miami, FL, Mark (Julie) Cunningham, Lakeland, FL and sister-in-law, Colleen Cunningham, Rochester, NY; as well as several nieces, great-nieces, nephews and great-nephews.
Born June 26, 1949 in Rochester, New York, Helen graduated from Nazareth Academy in 1967. She moved to Florida in 1971 where she worked as medical secretary to the medical director of Polk General Hospital. Helen returned to Rochester in 1980, and worked as medical secretary to Dr. Donald Duckles, Director of Surgery at Highland Hospital, until her first retirement in 2000.
Helen returned to Lakeland, Florida and became a loving caretaker of her parents, Jack L. Cunningham and Louise E. Cunningham, until their deaths. During that same time, she worked in customer service at Wal-Mart before retiring for a second time in 2013. Helen enjoyed mind-enhancing games, crossword puzzles and sudoku.
Private family services will be held at a later date.

Rest in Paradise Aunt Helen. You will be greatly missed by many. When you see Paul up there tell him Hello and give big hugs to the rest of the family. I take comfort in knowing you will be watching over all of us now.

R.I.P. Helen. You were such a help to me when I was Dr. Gross' secretary. And, I'll always be grateful to you for introducing me to Rachmaninoff. Your sense of humor is something the world needs more of. Thank you for being such a great gal! Your kindness will definitely be missed.
