My father was the finest, kindest most loving person that could be. The last time I could visit him in person, before COVID, was Christmas of 2019, and while he was barely speaking, the one thing he was doing was going to the staff who were caring for him and telling them "gnädige frau du bist die wunderbarste" dear lady, you are the most wonderful. He always loved and appreciated the people around him.
May we always be as loving, appreciative, and kind as he was throughout his life. Even as his mind faded, his heart remained as kind as ever.
