One of the most impactful teachers I ever had. It saddens me greatly to see I missed the opportunity to ever catch up again, now with a fully developed brain! Unlike an AP Psych student... Rest in peace.

You will be missed Marty ....

Marty was my first boyfriend, first love. I have many fond - and not so fond - memories as we both came of age and lasted over 5 years together. We reconnected for a very short time in the mid-nineties and realized that, although we would not stay together, our love would remain eternal. Melissa and Michael, please accept my heartfelt condolences to you and your families. May your dad be with you in spirit, alive in your memories and in your hearts.

Mr. Countryman was a terrific teacher. He was down to earth and had a good sense of humor which is important these days.
Thank you for all you did and being a true friend.

What a sweet man Marty was. I'll always remember the great times we had. You will be missed, but you will always live on in our memories.

Mr Countryman was a great teacher and mentor. He never seemed to judge us for who we were which was a breath of relief there at times. He will be missed. Someone better be taking care of his cat!

In the 1960's I played a lot of basketball with Marty. He was a great competitor . He once put his hand through a window pane at my home going for the ball, injuring his wrist and letting go of a lot of blood. Fortunately National Ambulance was nearby. With fond memories

Mr. Countryman was an exceptional instructor and put obvious effort and care into the development of all of his students. We are all better for having him guide us in the subjects he taught and for sharing his insights. I will miss him but I will always remember his strength of conviction, and his own thoughtfulness.
