Mary Zeltmann Obituary

Zeltmann, Mary Lynn

Perinton: Commonly known as Lynn or Mrs. Z died at home on April 16, after a long battle with lung cancer. Retired from Rush-Henrietta Central School District after more than 20 years of service, she was the 1st note taker for the deaf in Monroe County; a hall, library, and English as a Second Language aide; as well as assistant Alpine Coach. She will be missed by many and always remembered by her husband, Gerry; daughter, Erika (Bruce); son, Evan (Michelle); and her 4 grandchildren. A familiar face at Woodcliff Sports Club, there are many who will miss her energetic workouts and conviviality. Additionally, she leaves behind her former husband and her Sahmel side of the family. Canadian born, her brother, Mark, and sisters, Joan and Paula, and their families will miss her.

With a far-flung family and retired friends, a Celebration of Life will be scheduled at a future date. Should you want to attend, please email zamma@ rochester.rr.com and/or drop a note to 55 Red Barn Circle. No flowers please. Charitable donations can be made to the following organizations which reflect her values and/or have served her and are deserving of support: Central Asia Institute, Wilmot Cancer Center, Highland Hospital, Lifetime Care Hospice/Zululand Project, Rochester Philharmonic, and WXXI. Spiritual remembrances can be requested of St. John of Rochester, Fairport.

Mr. Z and family,
I am so sad to hear of Lynn's passing. She was always such and bright a cheery woman. I don't know if I could have survived high school without her. I'm sure heaven is loving her, although she will be dearly missed here. God bless.
