My husband and I have been patients at this practice for many years. We are heartbroken to learn of his passing.
Kind, caring, authentic, Healer and servant of our sovereign God are all descriptive elements he exemplified through his life.
I know he was welcomed into God's kingdom with the gates flung open and Jesus saying " Well done Good and Faithful servant".
Condolences to the Szabo family. Thanks for sharing him with tho community for so many years.

I was shocked beyond belief when hearing of Dr. Szabo's passing. He had been my doctor for more than twelve years, during which time I not only received really excellent care, but we exchanged many stories, and experiences, and shared a great many good, hardy laughs together. I will seriously miss his caring and compassion, and exchanging stories about photography and travel.
My sincere heartfelt condolences to Doctor Szabo's family. This world was better for his being in it.

Seven years ago I was led to Dr. Szabo. I believed at that time that it was divine intervention (I still do). I had called a county health number asking if it was possible to refer me to a doctor who could work with assaults. They gave me Dr. Szabo's name and number. I called and explained the situation to the sweet soul in his front office; and after speaking with the doctor she told me to come in immediately. Dr. Szabo treated me non-judgmentally with such compassion and grace. His love for the Lord and people amazed me. I was overwhelmed when he asked if he could pray for me. Along with medical treatment and advice Doctor Szabo suggested I go back to church. I was touched.
As a medical doctor he was so knowledgeable, thorough and truly concerned about his patients. As a human, he was extremely kind and loving. In my 63 years, I have never had a better doctor!
After being his patient for several years my insurance changed and I could no longer go to him. I was sad as I felt he had become a great friend and confident. Earlier this year, after nine-months of losing three family members and my dearest friend of 45 years my health took a dip again. I finally started back to church after 45years. I started praying as a habit. I prayed specifically for a new doctor that I liked as much as Dr. Szabo. I then searched everywhere knowing the kind doctor didn't take my insurance. I saw his wife did and when I called learned she was on sabbatical. But to my great surprise, Dr. Szabo was now in network.
I was touched once again when after over five years, Dr. Szabo remembered me. And again, after coming to him after more tragedy, he has been treating me with his wonderful ways, letting me feel as I as was the most important patient during my visit.
I saw Dr. Szabo three days before his passing. I was his last patient of the day..he was so busy that he mentioned he hadn't stop to eat until 4:30. That's how dedicated he was. At that visit I told him he wasn't aware but I knew he was one of my earth angels. He will be truly missed and I am so grateful for all he has taught me.
I hadn't heard yet this morning about the sad loss of Dr. Szabo (until I received a call to reschedule tomorrows appointment) as I read my morning devotional
Both peaceful and shocking deaths can bring forth an emergence of heart and soul. Our hearts, broken open by grief, bear fruits of the spirit in the same way a seed, broken open by nature, bear fruits that sustain the body. As M.C. Richards says, If you live into the experience of grief or loss deeply, you will perceive that what has taken place is not discontinuity but metamorphosis.
The deeper our faith in the evolution of our souls and the benevolence of the Divine, the greater our acceptance of all circumstances and the possibility of transformation in them. I thought deeply about this when I read it earlier today, now I know why it picked for today.
Szabo family and loved onesMy prayers are with you and my heart feels your loss.
Much love and blessings are being sent your way!

Dr. Szabo was my mother, Jean Benner's, doctor since she moved to Colorado in 2004 and he provided her the most wonderful care I could ever ask for. He guided her through several serious medical conditions and helped her to regain her health and maintain her independence each time. He even went so far as to personally call her to check on her when she was in Florida for 3 months after he had diagnosed with a serious condition. She loved to visit with him and hear all about his family and faith. She will be 90 in a couple of weeks and we are both shocked and saddened by his sudden death. He will be greatly missed and his loving care will be very difficult to replace.

I am deeply saddened to hear of Dr Szabos' passing. I believe God led me to him when I was very sick and he was successful in restoring my health. I don't know where I would be today had it not been for his care and concern to prescribe the right treatment for me. He will be missed and my condolences go out to his family. I know he is in Heaven with his beloved Lord God. I wish I had more time with him. I was looking forward to seeing him again soon to follow up on my progress of health. I won't get to share that with him and that makes me very sad as I know it would have made him very happy. God Bless you Dr Szabo rest in everlasting peace.

Dr. Szabo has been my primary care physician for the past five years. During this time, his Sheppard's care has revealed a life threatening medical condition. His referral(s) and follow-up over the last two years has resulted in a life saving procedure in Feb and a near cure in Apr. I will miss his level of care, treatment and concern for both the physical and spiritual condition of his patients. I know he is with his Lord and Savior. My condolences to his family. My they experience a peace that passes understanding as they wrestle to understand the loss of this great man, husband and father. Blessings to all.

We feel a deep sense of loss with the passing of "our" Dr. Szabo. Alex was more than just a doctor to our family, he was someone we could talk to about literally anything - as a patient or as a friend. Over the years we found many things in common, from our love of the outdoors to raising our children - and sending them to college at Mines. He was a blessing in our lives. Our sincere condolences to the Szabo family.

Dr. Szabo was our Family Doctor for over 10 years - he was a great Doctor as well as a Human being and a generous person. I would joke with him, that the less I saw of him was good as that meant I was not ill. I will miss out talks and greatly miss the man. Our deepest Condolences to his family.
