I'm very saddened to hear about the loss of Jim, whom I will remember as a fine friend, partner and mentor. I will miss seeing him in his usual seat at the symphony and his quick wit and generosity.

we were kids together. we went through grade and high schools together, plus my first year of college. jim was the smartest guy I have known, and i have known a few. dave scherer.

His wit and charm will be missed. We will miss having a glass a wine with him at Sue's and sharing thoughts and listening to his remarks on many subjects large and small. His smile and and warmth will remain.
